CitizensNYC announced their partnership with the newly launched “We ♥️NYC” campaign today, alongside New York Governor Kathy Hochul, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, and a host of other labor, civic, and community organizations.

“Over a billion pounds of nutritious food goes to waste in New York City every year,” said Douglas Silver, co-founder of the Gotham Food Pantry, an organization that redirects food waste, after his organization received a $3,000 grant from CitizensNYC.

Mr. Deutch is the longtime Chairman of the organization’s fall fundraising event taking place this year on Monday, October 17 at its new location, Tavern on the Green.
