CitizensNYC Launches ‘All In for New York City’ Week to Inspire Civic Action
New Yorkers, including community, business, political, and philanthropic leaders will come together for a week of action throughout the five boroughs
NEW YORK -- Citizens Committee for New York City (CitizensNYC) today announced ‘All In for New York City’ Week, a series of events and volunteer opportunities taking place Monday, October 17 through Friday, October 21, to encourage community leaders and business owners to come together and take action to rethink, reimagine, and rebuild New York City.
As one of the nation’s oldest micro-funding organizations, CitizensNYC provides support to community leaders on the front lines of change in their own neighborhoods. Consisting of small business owners, activists, artists and community gatekeepers, CitizensNYC uplifts community leaders and grassroots organizations who are looking to cultivate change for the better. This year, the organization has awarded more than $1 million in funding to New York City community groups across the five boroughs who are responding to pressing needs in their communities.
