Citizens Committee For New York City Joins Governor Kathy Hochul, Mayor Eric Adams, and the Partnership for New York City to Celebrate New York City, Inspire Civic Engagement with “We ♥️NYC” Campaign.
HARLEM — CitizensNYC announced their partnership with the newly launched “We ♥️NYC” campaign today, alongside New York Governor Kathy Hochul, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, and a host of other labor, civic, and community organizations. The campaign will formally launch with a press conference and rally to honor New Yorkers committed to building community engagement and pride, including Bobby Akumah, one of CitizensNYC’s grantee partners, and founder of Dare2Dream.
By inspiring community and civic engagement and mobilizing residents to become more involved, We ♥️NYC will reaffirm New York City as a city to take pride in. A city to be celebrated. A city to be loved. This campaign will be a powerful reminder of what has always made New York the greatest city in the world: New Yorkers like Bobby.
CitizensNYC is proud to be a part of this new campaign as a supporting organization, a supporter of Bobby’s work, and a source of civic engagement for ordinary New Yorkers for almost 50 years.
