COVID-19 Conversation: July Edition

IG+COVID+Conversations+July+2020.jpg

A conversation about race, policing, and findings from our survey results revealing thoughts from NYC community leaders about the Black Lives Matter movement and community-police relations.

We heard from Charlane Brown (Esq. and NYPD Deputy Inspector, Ret.) and Alvin Bragg (Former Chief Deputy Attorney General for New York) on their experiences as people of color in law enforcement and civil rights.

Here is the link to the video recording and some action steps our panelists recommended you can take to continue the conversation:

  • Engage and help youth navigate these challenging issue

  • VOTE and reach out to your elected officials to make change

  • Be persistent and stay informed

We hope to see you at our next COVID-19 Conversations on Thursday, August 20th at 12 PM!
