Institutional Partners

Connection is at the heart of our work, and we are proud to partner with philanthropic supporters, corporations, elected leaders, and city agencies to advance our vision of ensuring that every neighborhood in New York City has the resources and opportunities for its community members to thrive.

Corporate and Foundation Partners

CitizensNYC’s corporate and foundation partners provide essential support for grassroots leaders and small businesses across New York City. In addition to funding, our partners make a difference through hundreds of volunteer hours, making connections and providing visibility for the leaders in our network, and hosting events that bring change makers together.

Leadership Partner Spotlights

The Wells Fargo Foundation

Since 2021, Wells Fargo has provided more than $1M in support to CitizensNYC, including $750,000 for the citywide expansion of the Neighborhood Business Grants program. From Lakou Café, a Haitian café in Weeksville, Brooklyn that emphasizes support for local artists, to Bistro Casa Azul, a small family restaurant in East Harlem that hosts local community events and contributes to food drives, CitizensNYC is grateful for Wells Fargo’s leadership investment in small women and minority owned businesses who do well by doing good.

Siegel Family Endowment

Our partnership with the Siegel Family Endowment has been instrumental both in providing direct support to our network of grassroots leaders and in helping us to continuously learn. With their collaboration and inquiry-focused approach, we have gained insights into how we can serve as a better connector between our grantee partners and the stakeholders and resources they need to achieve their vision for their neighborhoods.

Trinity Church Wall Street Philanthropies

Trinity Church Wall Street Philanthropies plays a leadership role in working toward a more vibrant, equitable, and resilient Lower Manhattan. By combining their local leadership with CitizensNYC’s unique Neighborhood Business Grant program, we have been able to support more than 50 small businesses that are an essential part of the fabric of neighborhoods like the Lower East Side and Chinatown.

Nonprofit Partners

CitizensNYC leverages a powerful network of nonprofit partners to empower New Yorkers and enhance their neighborhoods. These partners serve as trusted allies, and through grant programs, capacity-building workshops, and collaborative events, help us cultivate local leadership and tackle challenges across all five boroughs.

Government Partners

Government partners play a crucial role in amplifying the reach and impact of our grant programs in every corner of NYC. By working in close collaboration with elected leaders and city agencies, we bridge the gap between resident-led initiatives and public resources and support to pave the way for a brighter future for all New Yorkers.
