Project Planning Assistance

When neighbors in South Ozone Park, Queens wanted to start a block association, they needed to know how to build their membership—from scratch. So we sat down with them and went through the process step-by-step.

When a lifelong East New York resident wanted to assist former inmates re-integrate into society at large, she needed help narrowing her focus. With the help of our staff, she started a mentoring program—and learned how to balance her full-time job with this ambitious community initiative.

We're here to lend an ear and offer feedback. You don't have to be a grantee to receive support—just a group with a great idea.

Good matches for our project planning assistance are neighborhood groups with questions about an ongoing project, launching a new campaign, or resolving issues or conflicts. Due to our limited resources, we cannot offer project planning assistance to staffed organizations, businesses, or individuals.
