500 Block MacDonough Street Association

Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn

Project snapshot

500 Block MacDonough Street Association is installing Iron Tree Guards for 3-4 Tree Beds on the 500 Block of MacDonough Street in BedStuy between Patchen Avenue and Ralph Avenue. These tree guards protect the trees and flowers planted in the beds from garbage, dog urine, dog feces and foot traffic compacting the ground around the trees. Planting more trees and flowers helps to reduce the effects of global warming, reduce crime and add to the general well being of the entire neighborhood and everyone who walks on the block.
